A Note from the Revd Ross Meikle, Missioner for Young People<\/strong><\/p>\n

As the Missioner for Young People at Salisbury Cathedral, my job is to ensure that children, young people and their families from all communities feel at home and are represented within the Cathedral.<\/p>\n

There are lots of opportunities for young people to be involved in the life of the Cathedral \u2013 from singing in one of our choirs, joining our team of Young Servers, or volunteering. And if there\u2019s something you\u2019re interested in but not sure that we do it, get in touch with me. I enjoy finding creative ways to help young people develop their gifts and skills.<\/p>\n

As a writer and storyteller I love working with a cathedral that has a reputation for creativity in music and the visual arts and with my background in drama, I\u2019m excited to develop what we offer.<\/p>\n

\n The Font Service <\/h3>\n
\n\n \n
\n

The Font Service is a worshiping community that is relaxed, playful and creative as we interact with our Cathedral building and the spaces around it. We are child-friendly and open to all who seek to know the love of God in a space that some find more accessible than our more structured services. Gathering at our iconic Font at 9am on a Sunday, we give thanks to God before making our way to a new location each week for a special act of worship. We have sung songs in the Chapter House, prayed with lolly-sticks by the Bug Cathedral, and listened to storytelling at Sarum College.<\/p>\n

\n Youth Volunteer positions <\/h3>\n

We are looking to build a diverse team of enthusiastic Youth Volunteers at each level of commitment to join the Young People Outreach Team at Salisbury Cathedral. You will be involved in welcoming and supporting children, young people and their families through meeting and developing their personal, spiritual and social needs.<\/p>\n
